Pork Penne Pasta Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1 Onion

  • 15ml Crushed Garlic

  • 1kg MALU Pork Mince

  • 600g Basil & Tomato pasta sauce of your choice

  • 400g Canned Diced Tomatoes

  • 15ml Mixed Herbs

  • 15ml Chilli Flakes (Optional)

  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese (Grated)

  • 500g Penne Pasta

Method:

  1. Cook the Penne Pasta ‘al dente’. Not to soft as it will cook further later in this recipe.
  2. Over medium heat fry the onion and garlic until light brown.
  3. Add the pork mince and fry until cooked.
  4. Add pasta sauce, canned tomatoes, herbs and chilli flakes. Ensure to thoroughly mix through.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and combine with mince mixture.
  6. Transfer to an ovenproof dish. Add the mozzarella cheese over the top.
  7. Oven bake for 20 minutes, 180°C.
